Serangoon Sunday

First we went to Meeras Curry Restaurant at Veerasamy Road in Serangoon for lunch. Well, it was a late lunch since it’s already 3pm. As lunch time was long gone, we were ravenous. Which kind of made us greedy and we ordered more than we would have normally.

Ayah chose this restaurant...
Chicken tikka

Black pepper crab?
Garlic naan

Biryani
It was served in a pot...

As usual, Vin finish eating first...

And Sel was last...

Then we head down to Sungei Road which is very close to Serangoon. It was packed! It’s almost like the pasar malam (night market) you find around the HDB neighbourhood; Except that it’s open in the day and that they sell secondhand goods (which is not necessarily cheap either). Walking around the stalls, looking at the old and antic goods automatically made us nostalgic. It was definitely a unique experience.

Believe it or not, we have never been here before...
The sungei road crowd...

Vin at one of the "entrance"...
Sel at the same place...

Sweaty and tired, we had a rest at The Banana Leaf Apolo at Serangoon. It’s an air-conditioned restaurant which is expensive like a restaurant but looks more like a food court to us. Anyway, it was not halal certified, so all we had was drinks and dessert.

It was the nearest air-conditioned place we can find...
Nice glass-waterfall behind Vin that make it looks like it's raining...

Honey sea-coconut
It was so expensive and it comes with a really small slice of lime...

Vin's "pet cat"...

The Serangoon night crowd...

As night time comes, the streets are getting even more crowded so we headed back home.

Yet another weekend had zoomed by. All this weekend/family activities will have to stop soon as both our exams are coming soon. Sigh…
